Comfortable Life
The Samsung air cleaning system has three parts: an antibacterial filer
that kills bacteria in the air, an electrostatic filter that attracts small
particles of dust, and a porous deodorizing filter that absorbs odor causing
particles.
Frequently Asked Questions
MINI SPLIT BASICS
What is a Mini-Split?
A typical definition of a mini split is a split air conditioner or heat
pump, without ductwork (ductless), the evaporator is usually mounted in or
adjacent to the area being cooled. Other features are typically low air volume,
low noise levels and remote control.
Typical uses are Residential and light commercial (offices)
When & Where did Mini-Splits originate?
In the early 1970’s ductless split room air conditioning was developed.
The minisplit air conditioners and heat pumps were sold mainly in Japan first.
In the late 1980’s, Mini-splits became popular in Japan, East Asia and Southern
Europe. At the end of the Twenty-first century over one-half of the
worlds total shipments of air conditioners are Ductless split systems, however
in the US the market is
still small compared to the total air conditioning market.
Why use a Mini-Split?
The first answer that most people think of is : I don’t have or can’t install
any ductwork.
Many other reasons are:
Comfort:
Mini-splits offer greater comfort when compared to traditional air conditioning
units. The lower air volume promotes greater dehumidification, the individual
control allows for greater personal comfort, and the lack of ductwork added
to the anti bacterial filters and construction of the Samsung units prevents
the spread of airborne contaminants. Samsung offers a variety of styles
which means
they can be installed in almost any suitably sized area.
Noise Levels:
Because the indoor unit shares the living space with you, they are designed
for the lowest noise levels possible, 35 Db. The outdoor units are also much
quieter than conventional central air conditioning condensing units. This
means that they can be installed in areas close to property lines without
disturbing your neighbor’s.
Where can’t I use Mini-Splits?
Mini-splits are designed to cool people and keep them comfortable. That
means the typical range of temperatures for the zone is 70-72 DegF. They
are not designed for wine cellars or other low temperature applications.
With the addition of a low ambient kit, they can under some circumstances
they can be used for cooling computer rooms. However care must be taken in
sizing the units, as the room size must be taken into account in addition
to the cooling load. A large capacity unit in a small size room, will short
cycle
due to air recirculation and eventually cause system reliability issues.
Quiet and Convenient
Is your home noisy? Samsung air conditioners are designed for the lowest possible noise, both in the indoor and outdoor units. Detachable and washable front grills provide clean air all the time. Samsung functions are retained even after a power outage and do not need to be reprogrammed.
Wireless Remote
No matter how many functions an air conditioner has, they would be useless if the air conditioner was hard to operate. Samsung air conditioners provide easy, user friendly remote controls to maximize their convenience. Move your mouse over the icons below for a description of the corresponding Samsung features.
